Busy weekend... Middletown HS Homecoming was in outer space! Planets and shooting stars set the mood for an exciting evening. The Maryland Association of Tobacco & Candy Distributors annual event was "Putting on the Ritz". Lots of top hats and glitz for this affair. Great themes!

Had a great day in Baltimore at Jo Werling's Seminar learning about foamboard and ways to use those ideas in balloon decor. Great turnout; met lots of new balloon friends! It was great to have the founder of our business share her expertise with our Chapter.

We had a great time at the E&R Sales Seminar in Midlothian, Va. Eddie Heyland from Balloon City U.S.A. was the instructor for this one-day latex education class from Betallatex. We had fun playing with the Link-o-loons balloons and getting some great tips from Eddie.

Purple & white balloons added a festive touch to the Relay for Life campaign at the Frederick Memorial Hospital this week. Spring Ridge friend, Corey Hunt, stopped by to tell his story of cancer and say "hi" to Laurie Frey, coordinator of the Relay. Great job they are doing to raise awareness and funds for the American Cancer Society.

As Halloween approaches, many events are centering around this bewitching time. A Bar Mitzvah this weekend had a haunting flare with Keeping an Eye on You Windsocks at their entrance. And MATCD's 53rd Anniversary celebration featured a Gothic Greeting piece on the buffet as well as Bat Centerpieces on the main tables. All in all, it was a howling good time for all!
